The album and its place
Recorded live at the Mazovian Institute of Culture, the concert brings together songs familiar from previous Combo recordings alongside works that have long been part of the ensemble’s repertoire but had never before been recorded. The programme was inspired by Elektoralna Street and its surrounding neighbourhoods, once home to a vibrant Jewish community before 1939. Today, apart from the walls of a handful of surviving tenement houses, almost no tangible traces of that world remain. Yet the songs endure, preserving memory and conveying genuine emotion. The ensemble is joined by guest violinist Maria Sławek.
The vinyl edition is available as a limited, hand-numbered release of 500 copies: 100 pressed on marble vinyl and 400 on classic black vinyl.
