About the project
A cycle of micro-concerts held in the spaces where Warsaw’s visual artists worked. The initiative brings the visual arts and music closer together, showing their mutual dialogue through intimate meetings of performers, studio custodians, listeners and the spaces themselves.
The first edition took place in 2022. The second, in the September–December 2023 season, continued the formula of gatherings in artists’ studios. The cycle received a nomination in the S3KTOR competition for the best non-governmental initiative in Warsaw.
Each meeting paired a concert with a curatorial tour of the studio, led by its custodians or the artists working there. The musicians performed a programme arranged specifically around the given artist’s work and the spirit of the place, and every concert closed with an improvised piece, created “here and now”, inspired by the studio and its maker.
